Sage Catton

Sage believes counseling should be a compassionate and collaborative space where people can bring their entire authentic self. She sees counseling as a relational process that supports clients in connecting with their inner wisdom and innate capacity for healing. Sage hopes that through counseling, clients can develop greater self-understanding, recognize their resilience and strength, and invite in self-compassion as they navigate the ups and downs of life.

With a background in community-based nonprofit work, Sage brings a systems-informed lens to counseling that recognizes how broader culture, systems of power, and social contexts influence individual wellbeing. As a counselor, she integrates this perspective by honoring both clients’ personal experiences and acknowledging the broader social systems that we all move through.

Sage approaches counseling with curiosity, warmth, authenticity, and moments of levity. She values a person-centered approach that encourages each client's experiences and goals to guide the direction of the work. Sage often integrates somatic awareness and mindfulness to support clients in finding safety within their bodies. She is passionate about creating a grounded and nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore their identities, relationships, and inner worlds at their own pace. Sage enjoys working with adults navigating anxiety, depression, chronic illness, stress, and self exploration. She is particularly interested in supporting individuals who want to better understand their internal experiences and cultivate more balance in their lives.

Sage is currently earning her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Oregon State University - Cascades. In her free time, she enjoys snowboarding, running, biking, cooking, connecting with her community, and traveling to new places.
