Jessica Iverson

She/her

Counseling Student Intern

Jessica will be accepting new clients in June!

Jessica sees counseling as a collaborative process of working to understand what you’re experiencing and how it’s impacting your life. Jessica takes a grounded approach to this work, focused on the present and with emphasis on curiosity and reflection to recognize patterns over time and begin shifting them. Her work is informed by humanistic and experiential approaches, including person-centered and Gestalt therapy.

Jessica takes great care in being a resource to whom you can speak openly, without feeling judged, rushed, or negated. She helps establish a realness in the room, holding a raw space for expansiveness or brevity and everything in between. Working with her close support in this process, clients can begin to feel clarity, more connected to themselves, and more able to navigate what’s in front of them. Jessica is especially interested in working with individuals navigating periods of transition—times when things feel uncertain, shifting, or hard to make sense of—while also welcoming a range of experiences and concerns.

Jessica is currently a counseling intern in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Oregon State University–Cascades and practices under the supervision of a licensed professional counselor. Jessica has completed training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Brainspotting, and she incorporates solution-focused approaches into her work. She continues to grow her clinical skills through ongoing learning and supervision.
